Rebranding a coffee non-profit
to help the mission soar.
As a non-profit coffee company founded to provide employment and empowerment for youth experiencing homelessness, Gutter Punk Coffee had a mission everyone could get behind––but their hard-edged name was a different story.
As they began a funding campaign with the goal of opening their first brick & mortar location, Gutter Punk came to us to give them a new name and a new look and feel that would better articulate the good they were doing, and the why behind it, while maintaining their resonant edge. They needed a brand that would help them expand the impact they were making in the short term while helping them grow into retail, grocery and other endeavors in years to come.
Equipped with their new name, Wildflyer, as well as a new logo, identity and a line of unique, disruptive packaging, the brand was able to secure the funding they needed to open their first coffee shop in South Minneapolis, stay operational through the pandemic and even expand into a second location in St. Paul.
This full rebrand project included strategy, naming, manifesto, logo and identity design and packaging design.
